About the Teacher

Ms. Rachel Reyes

Welcome to First Grade!

Hi! My name is Rachel Reyes. I started teaching at Hazel Park Preparatory Academy in the fall of 2019. I have a B.A. in Elementary Education from Bemidji State and am licensed K-6.  

Five things to know about me:

1.  I love coffee and chocolate.  I even ate chocolate covered ants.

2.  I like heights: cliffs, mountains and the Power Tower at Valleyfair.

3.  I enjoy watching Minnesota sports teams: Lynx, Vikings, Wild, Twins but prefer the San Antonio Spurs (sorry Timberwolves).

4.  Lake Superior is one of favorite places to be especially Sleeping Giant Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada.

5.  I still watch Disney movies with The Lion King and Leo & Stitch being my favorites. I also like Baby Yoda.

I enjoy working with the diverse staff and students at Hazel Park who make me laugh and teach me something new everyday.
