Mr. Matthew Sanchez

Welcome to Mr. Sanchez’ webpage!

This is my third year teaching at Hazel Park Preparatory Academy. I have previously taught at Como Park High School and Ramsey Middle School- and I truly enjoy our Saint Paul students! I hold a degree in Social Studies Teaching from the Urban Education Program at Metropolitan State University, and am currently working on my Master’s degree. Here at Hazel Park I am thrilled to be teaching Minnesota Studies to our 6^th graders, American Studies to part of our 7^th grade cohort, and Current Events to part of our 8th grade cohort! 

When I am away from work, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing catch with my boys, and reading! I also enjoy being outside working on my yard.

I was born and raised in Saint Paul, and attended Saint Paul Public Schools in my youth. 

The previous Saint Paul Schools I have been fortunate to teach at have provided me with a wealth of experience as an educator, and I am thrilled to utilize that experience in my work with the students at Hazel Park Preparatory Academy.
